Boone Hall Wedding Inspiration

Boone Hall Plantation is a gorgeous wedding venue in Charleston with the Avenue of Oaks, Cotton Dock, and main house. For this wedding styled shoot, the gold and peach tablescape was on the banks of Horlbeck Creek under the Spanish moss covered trees. The couple walked through the Avenue of Oaks and watched the sunset from the Cotton Dock.

Lauren Huntley 4/18/14. Huntley/ Moser Wedding

TLauren came to us from Fairfax, VA. Her soon to be husband was originally from Charleston.  They agreed that Charlestonwasvthe best place to have their weddings? They know it was an amazing area that both families and friends could enjoy.  They were engaged last January of 2013. At that moment they started researching venues in the area. They chose Boone Hall Plantation as their ideal location.  Lauren agreed to book the famous site without ever even seeing it first!  She took her future husbands word that it was incredible.  All she knew is that she wanted old Charleston charm with a rustic feel.   the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall is all that and more. We wish Lauren and Derrick the absolute best in their future together!

This family was amazing to work with!  Anna and her sisters had beautiful Asian hair that was shiny and pretty in an updo!   The makeup and eyelashes completed the look.

Lowcountry Bridal Shoot

POSTED ON APR 15, 2014
When we can’t find inspiration sometimes we need to go outside our normal day to day routine and dig a little deeper into what this big world has to offer us. I feel its important for all of us to have something in our lives that serves as a reset button to help us become refreshed and renewed. For me my refresh button is traveling. I am blessed to have a successful wedding photography business in Knoxville, but sometimes being busy doesn’t always mean it leaves time to be creative. When I travel the new smells, sights and surrounds help serve as something that inspires in life and business, so thats my refresh button.
I travel to Charleston, SC  to visit my brother often and to say I’ve fell in love with that city is an understatement! I had a tripped planned to visit the colorful city a few week back so I thought why not collaborate with local Charleston wedding vendors to create a beautiful styled wedding shoot at Lowndes Grove Plantation.
Charleston plantation wedding venue, Lowndens Grove is breathtaking! 1786-era plantation house that is rich in Revolutionary War history, right on the water in downtown Charleston and lined with historic oaks is just some of Lowndens Groves outstanding features that attacks so many  Charleston brides there each year.
As I started planning the shoot I wanted something soft, something classic and something that screamed Charleston and as you see below I feel that this shoot came out just that way! Thank you to all the vendors who participated in this shoot that gave me such inspiration for the upcoming wedding season!
