Adding Hair Accessories

Adding hair accessories can really accentuate any style. Whether its trying to dress up everyday looks or accessorize your for your special day, you can make your look even more spectacular by adding some hair bling.
Check your local accessory store for some fun and inexpensive headbands and barrettes. Etsy always has great ideas too for those who are looking for different.

Over the Shoulder Curls

A pretty trend we are seeing for the Spring is side swept , over the shoulder curls. It's fairly easy to achieve at home. Use a large barrel curling iron and curl the entire head. Spray lightly with a working hairspray Brush through with a large paddle brush to break through the curls. This will allow you to keep the wave pattern but break through the individual curls. With a few bobby pins or a pretty barrett, pin the hair at base of the hair where the hair falls over the shoulder. Respray the hair lightly and you are ready to go!

Braids into Updos

The hot trend for styling is braids. Whether you use a braid as an accent in a updo or actually use the braid as an updo. Either is a fun twist on the traditional look. With prom and weddings right around the corner, this is a fun way to wear your hair. Vanity Salon is in Mount Pleasant, SC. We are located next to the Isle of Palms Connector.

LOVE Kim and the team! I had my hair/makeup along with all of the bridesmaids' hair done before the wedding. The girls all looked BEAUTIFUL. I was one of those organized but easy-to-stress brides and Kim answered all of my emails promptly and was ready for us Saturday morning...we even had mimosas :) I would highly recommend them for any bride getting married in or around Mt. Pleasant - you won't be disappointed.
